In this lecture, presenter Brian Armstrong will provide a detailed overview of New Jersey’s activities during the American Revolution due to its strategic location and numerous military engagements. Profiles of famous patriots and soldiers associated with American’s quest for freedom are featured. Famous battles and events that occurred in the “Crossroads of the American Revolution” such as Washington Crossing the Delaware River, Battle of Trenton, Battle of Princeton, Battle of Monmouth, and many more events are described in the presentation.

An independent historian, researcher and author, Mr. Armstrong frequently lectures throughout the state on local history. He holds a BA in History and a BA in Political Science from American University. Mr. Armstrong is the President of the League of Historical Societies of New Jersey and Past President of the South River Historical & Preservation Society.
