The West Trenton Garden Club maintains Birmingham Park which is at the corner of Bear Tavern Road and Upper Ferry Road in Ewing Township. This is the corner where George Washington’s troops split on their march towards Trenton and attacked the German Hessians from two directions on that snowy night on December 1776.  We will have a costumed reenactor that can tell the story of the importance of our park’s location and the victory of Washington’s march on Trenton that historical night. We will have flags available for our visitors to place around the perimeter of the park so it will be decorated for the 4th of July. Refreshments will also be served.
