African Americans During the American Revolution

“African Americans during the Revolutionary War” explores the participation of people of African descent in the Revolutionary movement and considers the sometimes-overlooked issues of how the American Revolution affected them.

Individual contributions will also be examined with special attention to African Americans in New Jersey.
