Men W/O Shoes: A Student-Led Tribute to Forgotten Heroes
Join us for Men W/O Shoes, a powerful student-led exhibition commemorating Black History Month and honoring the often-overlooked contributions of Black soldiers at the Battle of Princeton. Through collaborative research with Foundation Academies students and the Princeton Battlefield Society, this compelling installation brings to life the stories of at least fourteen Black men who fought alongside General George Washington. Their resilience, sacrifice, and legacy are reflected in striking student-created works on display.
This free exhibition is open to the public in Morven’s Stockton Education Center on:
• Thursday, February 19, 5:00–7:00 p.m. – Opening Night (note: this session is at capacity and sold out)
• Saturday, February 21, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. – Open Hours (no advance registration required)
Students and educators will be on hand to answer questions during both sessions. Tickets to visit the Morven main house are available for purchase online or at the Museum Shop on the day of your visit.
