NJ PBS Broadcast of Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes

To commemorate the 250^th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, EagleVision Productions, Inc. has produced a one-hour documentary, Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes, that NJ PBS will broadcast on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 9:00 PM, and the National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) will distribute to public television stations nationwide on July 1, 2026.

Road to Liberty Through Their Eyes is a truly remarkable story of perseverance, survival, and triumph that needs to be re-told for a 21st century audience. Never again would the battle for American Independence be so vulnerable and so close to defeat as it was in those months leading up to Christmas 1776 and the Battles of Trenton and Princeton. The story will unfold through quotes from contemporary journals and letters read by off-screen actors, as well as interviews with historians and experts on various topics and little-known stories that enable the audience to relive the formative years of the American Revolution; along with illustrations, paintings, maps, artifacts, military reenactors, and location footage that will provide a visual background as the Patriots struggle against the mightiest nation in the world to defend its fledgling nation – the United States of America, and its new form of government – Democracy.
